Tibbatts Abel team recently went on a company day out, canoeing! This was a great team bonding exercise and helped us to welcome new members to the team. It was a great day for everyone so we thought we'd share our experience with you!
The team rowed for 10 miles starting at Ross-on-Wye and ending at Symonds' Yat.
We broke the journey up with a stop off at a small local pub and enjoyed a refreshing beer (or two).
Luckily no one ended up in the water, although many of us ended up stuck in bushes on several occasions. Also, Polly, one of our junior interior designers, left her paddle to float down the river so she could take a photograph of the scenery. The canoe may have been stuck going around in circles but at least she got a nice picture!
At the end of the journey we were conveniently faced with another pub, so we could have another drink before heading back to Birmingham.
We all had a great time and it's fair to say that we were all very tired and achy the next day!
Share any canoeing experiences you may have had with us in the comments below, or give us some ideas for our next company day out!
From the Tibbatts Abel Team.
